The Mestral bench is made from solid Nordic fir wood from controlled logging. This wood was originally used in the Netherlands for the construction of scaffolding and, once its useful life was over, it was recovered to transform it into a new piece of furniture.
Due to its origin and previous use, it is a particularly resistant wood, with an aged and worn finish that adds character to each bench. It may present slight imperfections, such as knots, small cracks or variations in tone. They are the traces of its history and the magic of the imperfect.
The wood is protected with a toxic-free water-based varnish. Although the bench is suitable for outdoors, we recommend protecting it from rain and covering it when not in use to keep it in the best condition.
Each piece is handmade in Raquel's workshop, located in the municipality of San Roque, Cádiz.
